LTM’s CEO, Mr Louis Giordimaina’s message regarding opportunities available:

“The Company has been offering opportunities to our employees before we even started operations in January 2003.  We have had groups of employees who have been trained from technicians to licence level at the full cost of the company.  Normally, technicians study and get a licence on their own.  Then it is up to the company to recognise them and give them the opportunity to progress.  We have done it differently.  We identified from the beginning the needs of the company and where it wants to grow.  We then selected a number of employees and gave them training to get the necessary qualifications to advance in their career.  This is an ongoing process. 

Together with MCAST, we have sponsored an apprenticeship scheme for those students wishing to study aircraft maintenance.  These students are part of our future growth.  We now have students who are in their final year of study and practical training.  The system has proved successful and will continue to evolve.  MCAST is now offering a series of new courses leading to careers in the aircraft maintenance industry. 

A suggestion I would give to all our current and future employees is to be enthusiastic about what they do.  Opportunities are there and performers will be given the right opportunities to progress in their career”.
